Data can differ from population to population and can be used to make predictions that are not based solely on feelings or opinions. Probability is about predicting future events (as opposed to statistics which is about analyzing past events).
Knowledge: Population of the Same Size
In order to make a fair comparison in grade 1, it is important for students to collect data from a population of the same size (for example, same number of objects in a bin, days in a month, grade 1 students).
